Lina Chung, Soprano

ABOUT

Lina Chung is a Korean-American soprano recognized for her luminous timbre, vocal versatility, and compelling dramatic presence. She recently made her role debut as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Teatro Grattacielo, earning praise from TheaterScene, OperaWorld, and StageFiend for her vocal brilliance, technical command, and fiery interpretation of “Come scoglio.”

Her recent engagements include Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with Regina Opera, Erste Knabe in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Pousette in Massenet’s Manon with Mannes Opera, and Marzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio and Natalia in Turgenev’s A Month in the Country with the New England Conservatory.

She holds a Master of Music from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory. Her honors include First Prize in the Schmidt Vocal Competition and Georgia Christian University Competition, with additional recognition from The American Prize and the Classical Singer Competition.
