Lina Chung is a Korean-American soprano recognized for her vocal brilliance, luminous timbre, and compelling dramatic presence. She recently made her role debut as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Teatro Grattacielo, where TheaterScene praised her “vocal brilliance” and “genuine moral anguish,” OperaWorld highlighted her “solid technique” and “luminous timbre,” StageFiend called her “Come scoglio” a “fiery rendition,” and Opera News described her performance as “appealing,” particularly in her duets and “Per pietà.”

Her recent operatic engagements include Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with Regina Opera, Erste Knabe in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Pousette in Massenet’s Manon with Mannes Opera, and Marzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio and Natalia in Turgenev’s A Month in the Country with the New England Conservatory. Her repertoire also includes Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto and Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro.

She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory. Her honors include First Prize in the Schmidt Vocal Competition and the Georgia Christian University Competition, as well as recognition from The American Prize and the Classical Singer Competition.

In addition to her work as a performer, Lina is dedicated to music education. She maintains a studio where she teaches piano and voice lessons to children, nurturing a love for music through iPianoLab.
