Lina Chung is a Korean-American soprano praised for her vocal brilliance, luminous timbre, and compelling dramatic presence.

She recently made her role debut as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Teatro Grattacielo. Her performance was praised by TheaterScene for its “vocal brilliance” and “genuine moral anguish,” while OperaWorld highlighted her “solid technique and a luminous timbre.”

Her recent operatic engagements include Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with Regina Opera; Erste Knabe in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Pousette in Massenet’s Manon with Mannes Opera; and Marzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio and Natalia in Turgenev’s A Month in the Country with the New England Conservatory.

She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory. Her honors include First Prize in the Schmidt Vocal Competition and the Georgia Christian University Competition, as well as recognition from The American Prize and the Classical Singer Competition.

In addition to her work as a performer, Lina is dedicated to music education. She maintains a studio where she teaches piano and voice lessons to children, nurturing a love for music through iPianoLab.
